How to Prepare a Spiritual Bath or Floor Wash

• Bring a pot of water to a boil and pray over it — call your ancestors, Esu, or Eleguá to purify the water and assist in the work. Ask for cleansing of the home and body, removal of negative energy, hexes, and evil, and the opening of doors to opportunity, love, and prosperity.
• Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes, then add the herbs. Light a white candle. Work the herbs through the water with your fingers while continuing to pray — speak plainly to your ancestors and guides about what you need. Once cooled, strain out the herbs. Add Florida Water, cascarilla, or a splash of rum if desired; you may also blow tobacco smoke into the mixture as you pray.
• For a floor wash, mix the strained liquid into a bucket of water and cleanse your home from back to front, ending at the front door. You can divide the mixture into three portions and work it over three days for a deeper cleanse during periods of spiritual warfare.
• Mark the door frame with a cascarilla cross after cleansing to prevent negative energy from returning. Discard all used water toward the street when finished.
• For a spiritual bath, add the strained liquid to your bathwater. After bathing and once the water drains, stomp the drain three times and declare: Evil be gone! It is done!

How to Work This Bundle

Step 1 — Prepare Your Bath

Brew the Abre Camino bath plants as a strong tea by steeping them in boiling water for at least 10 minutes. Let it cool, then strain and add to your bathwater. As you soak, visualize every door that has been closed to you swinging open. See the path ahead of you clear and bright. Bathe from the neck down, moving your hands upward over your body to draw good things toward you. Do this for 3, 7, or 9 consecutive days for the strongest results.

Step 2 — Write Your Petition

On a small piece of paper, write clearly what road you want opened — a new job, a fresh start, a business opportunity, freedom from a situation that has kept you stuck. Write your name over it three times, then turn the paper and write your petition over your name. Sprinkle cinnamon chips and a pinch of rue over the petition to add speed and protection to your request. Fold the paper toward you to draw the outcome in.

Step 3 — Dress Your Candle

Good Juju Tea Ritual

I love to brew this tea during the days I'm doing road opening or abundance work. Set the mood, light an orange or yellow candle, and dress it with Blessing, Van Van, or Road Opening Oil. As your tea steeps, hold your hands near the cup and visualize good luck, good people, and positive opportunities flowing toward you. If you add honey or sugar, stir clockwise and say:

“Good energy surrounds me. Good karma flows through me. I welcome blessings, luck, and joy into my day.”

Sip slowly and carry that good juju with you wherever you go.

Magical Properties

Apple is associated with love, abundance, and sweetness — a heart-centred ingredient that draws good things near. Rosehip supports emotional healing, resilience, and gentle protection. Orange brings joy, success, and positive opportunity. Hibiscus is known for passion, attraction, and personal magnetism. Sunflower petals carry solar energy — confidence, vitality, and happiness. Safflower is used for positivity and uplifting the spirit.

Rosehip and hibiscus are both rich in antioxidants, with rosehip traditionally valued as a natural source of vitamin C. Apple and orange add fruity sweetness and plant-based goodness. Ingredients: Dried apple, rosehip, hibiscus, dried orange, marigold petals, safflower petals, natural flavours (all organic and fair trade).
