Charcoal & Sand

Swift Lite charcoal tablets are high-quality, fast-lighting, self-igniting charcoal discs. 33mm disc designed for burning resin incense, herbs, and hookahs. Made in England, they burn consistently for 45–60 minutes, generating intense heat without affecting incense fragrance.

To use, place the charcoal disc in a heat-safe burner filled with sand or ash. Light the edge of the charcoal with a match or lighter—once it begins to spark and crackle, allow it to fully ignite and turn grey on the surface. After it’s ready, carefully place a small amount of incense resin or dried herbs on top. The heat will release fragrant smoke, often used for cleansing, meditation, ritual work, or creating a calming atmosphere.

Average Dimension: 7.5 cm Length x  9 cm Width x  2 cm Height.

Average Weight: 116 grams.

Ways to use it

• Pour into a suitable incense holder and secure incense sticks upright, leaving enough clearance for ash to fall into the container.
• Use as a sand bed in a cauldron or incense bowl, following the burner's instructions.
• Add colour to altar displays, decorative arrangements, and sand art.

Burning safely

Sand does not make an ordinary bowl safe for burning. Always use a heat-resistant burner designed for your chosen incense, placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface. For charcoal or incense cones, check that both the sand and burner are approved for direct contact with the heat source before use. Keep burning incense away from flammable items, children, and pets, and never leave it unattended. Allow the burner, ash, and sand to cool completely before handling or cleaning.
