The Male Image candle is a classic tool of candle magic — a human-shaped candle used to represent a specific man in your spellwork, whether that’s yourself or the person your working is focused on. By carving, dressing, and burning a figure candle in someone’s likeness, you create a powerful symbolic link that directs your intention with precision and clarity.

Available in a range of colours for different magical purposes. Deluxe options are larger and handmade in Canada.

How to Work a Male Image Candle

1. Choose your colour based on your intention (see colour meanings below).
2. Carve the candle with the man’s name, birth date, or a symbol that represents him.
3. Dress the candle with your chosen condition oil — working upward to draw things in, downward to banish or release.
4. Add herbs or powders around the base that match your purpose.
5. Place on your altar or a heat-safe surface, often over a petition paper written with your intention.
6. Light the candle while focusing clearly on your desired outcome — visualising, praying, or speaking your intention aloud.
7. Burn in one sitting or over several days depending on your practice.

Bring colour, intention, and a touch of magic to your altar or ritual space with these Multi-Coloured Drip Candles by General Wax. In candle magic and rootwork, colour carries meaning — and having a rainbow of options at hand means you can match your candle to your working at a moment's notice. Use them for love, money, protection, healing, road opening, or any intention your practice calls for.

How to use in ritual: Dress your candle with the appropriate condition oil, roll it in herbs if desired, carve your petition or name into the wax, and set your intention before lighting. Let the drips tell their story as the candle burns.

Honey Candles® candles are:

• Eco-friendly and good for your health.
• Made with pure cotton wick.
• Eco friendly dyes and 100% pure beeswax and containing absolutely no carcinogens or hazardous ingredients.
• While other companies often over-dip to achieve colour, Honey Candles coloured candles are always made from solid coloured beeswax created using very small amounts of environmentally friendly candle dye. Using solid colour offers a rich saturation that is unmatched and maintains it's beauty even as the candles burn.

Natural Air Purification:

• When lit, beeswax releases negative ions that help neutralize dust, mold, and pollutants in the air.
These ions bind with positively charged particles (like dust or pollen), making them heavy enough to fall out of the air.
✨ Result: a cleaner, fresher, and more balanced environment — especially beneficial for meditation or sacred space cleansing.

Long-Lasting, Bright Flame:

• Beeswax candles burn longer, hotter, and brighter than most other waxes.
• Their golden flame emits a warm, natural light that closely resembles sunlight, bringing calm and grounding energy to any room.
• Because they burn slowly, they’re also economical and eco-friendly.

Naturally Sweet Aroma:

• Without any added fragrance, beeswax gives off a soft, honey-like scent that feels comforting and sacred.

• This gentle aroma can promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and support a peaceful state of mind — perfect for spiritual rituals or daily self-care.

One of our customer favourites — and magical indeed! The Mushroom candle by Madame Phoenix is shaped in honour of the sacred Amanita muscaria — fly agaric, the iconic red-and-white toadstool also known as the Flesh of the Gods. This legendary fungus was used as a sacred plant ally for tens of thousands of years across tribes of the Northern Hemisphere, its flesh holding transportive and visionary properties that allowed our ancestors to commune with the Divine, navigate the spirit world, and receive deep spiritual wisdom.

Later woven into the mythology of fairies and the fae, the mushroom became a symbol of the threshold between our world and the mysterious realm of the unseen — a doorway, a portal, a place where the veil grows thin and the ordinary world gives way to something far stranger and more beautiful.

Magical & Spiritual Uses:

Ancestral Communication: Burn when working to commune with the ancestors, open a channel to those who have passed, or deepen your connection to the wisdom of those who came before. Pair with Mugwort or Wormwood to thin the veil and sharpen spirit communication.

Visionary Work & Seeing into the Unseen: Burn during meditation, trance work, or divination to open yourself to messages from the Divine and awaken perception beyond the ordinary senses. Dress the top of the wax with Seer Psychic Oil before lighting.

Fae & Otherworld Connection: The mushroom is a classic symbol of fairy magic and the borders between worlds. Burn to invite the energy of the fae, work with nature spirits, or honour the wild, liminal forces of the natural world.

Awakening to Natural Gifts: Burn as a reminder to slow down, look closer, and open yourself to the magic that lives in the everyday natural world — in the forest floor, the turning seasons, and the quiet wisdom of the earth beneath your feet.

How to Work It: Burn on your altar during spirit work, meditation, or any ritual that calls for opening the inner senses. Surround with forest offerings — acorns, moss, stones, or dried herbs. Always burn on a heat-safe surface and never leave unattended.

Handmade by Madame Phoenix. Each candle is individually made — slight variations are part of its handcrafted nature. Never leave burning candles unattended.
