How to Use

For candle work: Apply a small amount to your fingertips and lightly dress a white candle for cleansing and protection or a green candle for luck, money, and opportunity. Keep oil away from the wick and flame.

For petitions: Anoint the four corners of a petition paper. If drawing luck or opportunity, move toward the centre. Fold the paper toward yourself and place it beneath a candle, carry it with you, or add it to a mojo bag.

For mojo bags and talismans: Add a small amount to feed a luck, protection, success, or road-opening hand. A little oil is enough; do not saturate fabric or paper.

For a floor wash: Add a few drops to prepared wash water. Clean from the back of the space toward the front door while praying for bad luck and obstacles to leave. Finish at the threshold and ask for clear roads, protection, and better opportunities to enter.

Horseshoes have long been regarded as powerful symbols of luck, protection, and prosperity across many magical traditions. More money is a common need this day and age. In the midst of a recession, all of us feel the need and desire to attract financial wellness into our lives. What To Expect Throughout This Blog Post? Stop Blocking your magic Our Words Are Spells One common way we tend to block our magic is with our speech. Around others who are struggling or in a recession, there tends to be a lot of talk about being poor or not being able to afford much. Every time you say or think “I can’t afford that” or “that’s too expensive” we unintentionally block prosperity from entering our lives. Joking around at our own expense or joking about how poor we are also blocks the flow of prosperity. As does complaining or venting about our financial struggles. I’m not saying don’t complain, because it’s necessary to get rid of that tension and anxiety, but back it up with something positive after. The trick is training our brains to think in an abundance mindset instead of a scarcity mindset. When you catch yourself saying “I’m too poor for that” switch it up asap with “In the future I’ll be able to afford that” or "That's not for me at this time". When you’re complaining about money or joking around end it with something along the lines of "but it will get better, this is only my current reality". Everything changes, and you doing this work will guarantee that. Bad Money Habits Another common way we block the flow of prosperity is with our habits. There is a big difference between being frugal and being stingy. This comes from a place of privilege, but spending small amounts of money on things that make us happy or small acts of charity help the flow of prosperity. I look at prosperity like a current of water, if there are ebbs and flows then there’s movement but if there is none then your water becomes stagnant. Next time you have to spend money look at it as an opportunity to help grow your prosperity mindset. When you spend that money you can include an affirmation like “I pay this bill knowing that money will flow back into my life and my wallet.” Back it up when you do receive money with a phrase like "This is proof that the flow of prosperity in my life is balanced". I like to buy myself something inexpensive once a week/month, usually a bar of dark chocolate. I feel luxurious when I am eating the chocolate and it allows me to be grateful that I can spend well deserved money on myself. I also will give the loose change in my pockets or in my car to buskers or those who are less fortunate than myself. I give this money knowing that it will help prosperity flow easier into my life. On the other hand Impulse spending is equally blocking you from prosperity. It can demonstrate a lack of respect towards money, that it’s meaningless and therefor not worth holding onto. If you’re constantly spending money on things that hold no significant value to you, why would additional prosperity enter into your life? Question your Beliefs I grew up hearing “Money doesn’t grow on trees”, “I’m not made of money”, and “we can’t afford that”. Therefor when it was my time to build a relationship with money I believed it was difficult to come by and I had to work really hard to gain it. I was afraid to spend my money out of fear that none would come to take its place. In contrast an important person in my life grew up never seeing their parent because they were always working. They inadvertently blamed money for the lack of a parental figure in their childhood. They hated money, never wanted it because they believed it would always corrupt and keep you from what you loved. These are the hard truths we have to look at when doing prosperity work. These beliefs have to be questioned and healed, otherwise, no matter how much money you attain it will only ever be temporary. When working on our relationship to money we have to look into our ancestral trauma, the relationship our parents had with money, how they spent it, their beliefs, etc. We have to look at our mindset and our self-worth. Do we believe that we are worthy of money? That there is enough to go around? That we are not as deserving as those who are struggling? These are the hard questions we have to ask ourselves if we want to heal our relationship with money. This is the work we have to do if we want to create lasting prosperity in our lives. I’m not saying you have to do all of the above, and I am aware it can come off as privileged. My intent is to offer you insight into my own journey when I began working with my relationship with money. All I ask is that you take whatever resonates with you and forget the rest. This is only one perspective. My perspective. Money Spells For Increased Wages Increase Tips With The Jezebel Root Body Altar Spell A powerful spell for service workers or freelancers, Jezebel root is known to attract wealthy customers. Be sure to dispose of your candle in the proper way. Money magic is powerful and often required. When performing money magic it’s important to evaluate how the magic reacts in your life post spell. Does it stick around and last or do you find yourself having to perform money spell after money spell and it never seems to stick. If it doesn’t seem to stick more often than not your money issues could be rooted in childhood beliefs that require healing. This work is referred to as shadow work and should be treated with gentleness and love. It can be healed, but it takes work and determination. The way through is by identifying the capital T truths about your beliefs around money. For instance I grew up learning from my parents that you had to work REALLY hard to get a scrap of money. If money was flowing easily into my life I would often sabotage myself because I wasn’t worthy of it. Without me knowing of course. Once I identified that belief over time I was able to shift my mindset. It took a lot of work, determination and faith, but the pay off has been worth it. Yule & Winter Solstice Rituals

In the northern hemisphere the winter solstice, or Yule, occurs annually on December 21 or 22. This celebration is one of the eight sabbats celebrated in the year of the wheel. This day celebrates the shortest day of the year. Yule celebrates the Winter Solstice. Imbolc or Candlemas celebrates the first signs of spring. Ostara celebrates the Spring Equinox. Beltane celebrates May Day. Litha celebrates the Summer Solstice. Lughnasadh or Lammas celebrates the start of the harvest season Mabon celebrates the Autumn Equinox Samhain celebrates Halloween This time of year offers us a quiet time before the awakening of the earth. The perfect opportunity for spiritual cleansing, deep reflection and self-assessment. The new year celebrates a new chance. To try it all over again. New beginnings. New opportunities. Therefore, if you have big plans for the following year it’s important to do some pruning and release work to make space for your intentions to flourish. Before we can release we have to identify what is no longer working for us. Use the following 5 card tarot spread to reflect on yourself and how you can better show up in 2023. Card 1: What was my overall emotional state this past year? Card 2: What emotional baggage am I ready to let go of? Card 3: How can I clear emotional space to make room for new opportunities? Card 4: What do I want to bring in to the new year? Card 5: How am I going to go about doing that? I highly recommend journaling along side this tarot spread. It’ll offer you the opportunity to dissect your readings, offering deeper insight. If you’re lucky it could lead you to the root of your habits/beliefs you want to transform. Cleansing & Transforming your baggage Take note of if you want to clear the space for new growth or if you want to transform something that already exists into something new. It is important to make this distinction. If you want to rid yourself of some baggage a fire burning ceremony or a cord cutting ritual may be what you need. This offers you the opportunity to burn everything to the ground and create new growth out of the fertile ashes of what once was. Working with fire is particularly special on the winter solstice/Yule. It is common practice to use fire as a way to welcome back the light into the northern hemisphere. Bonfires, lighting candles, and Yule logs are excellent ways to celebrate this occasion. If fire is what you’re leaning towards you can take this opportunity to write down that which you want to release out of your life onto paper and throw it into the fire. As you watch the paper ignite and burn feel what you want to release burning out of your life. If you feel that transformation is more appropriate I recommend performing a ritual bath or a tea ceremony for cleansing and transformation. For a ritual bath use oils that promote cleansing and transformation. I recommend Van Van oil and/or Van Van soap. You can light a magically dressed snake candle for transformation. In your bath visualize all that you wish to transform leaking out of your pores and into the water. Feel it become cleansed and remade. Feel it being reabsorbed into your body. When you are finish step out of your tub and allow yourself to air dry. As the water evaporates into air feel all that inside of you transforming into something new and clean. What To Expect from “Shadow Work” Often times when you release something from your life the universe will send you tests to see if it’s really what you want. Don’t be surprised if that part of you becomes irritated or overly sensitive. Look at it like opportunities to say no to that which you are trying to change or rid yourself of. This type of work can be considered “Shadow Work” and should be handled with care. My favourite analogy from a friend of mine has referred to it as “becoming the goo”. A caterpillar, when it cocoons itself liquifies its body so it can rebuild itself and emerge into a beautiful butterfly or moth. Just like the caterpillar the only way to move through the tough times and transform into a better version of ourselves is to become the goo. We have to feel our feelings, we have to come to terms with them and integrate them into the new versions of ourselves. This part is HARD. Seek help if it’s too big for you. Lean on your friends and family. Ask for help. I assure you, you are not a burden to your loved ones. They will welcome the opportunity to strengthen your relationship through this vulnerability. If you’re dealing with trauma please seek a qualified therapists. Please don’t do this alone. You deserve to experience a higher quality of life. Work with the seasons to propel you through the natural cycle of life. Our inner states often mirror the natural world. If we work with the world around us your magic will be amplified. You will receive your desired effects with less resistance. Harness the energy of spring by starting new projects, reinventing yourself, creating new opportunities. During summer step into your best self. Work hard and play hard. Manifest, manifest, manifest. Reap your rewards in the fall. Collect your harvest.
