Bluing squares are a traditional magical ingredient. They are used to draw fast luck, protect your home and keep nightmares away, enhancing spiritual energy, purification and divination. Great if you have troublesome spirits or are down on your luck.

I use bluing for cleansing baths, sprays and floor washes.

RootWorkers, folk practitioners and Spiritualists have adopted the use of these squares to replace copper sulfate which replaced the even older use of pure indigo.

Spiritists and mediums will often use these squares in mop water to clear the house of negativity prior to Spiritual work or in a process of purification. One square is added it to a bucket of mop water along with Florida Water and Holy Water.

Place out a bowl or glass of Peace Water to keep the space clear of malignant spirits and to draw benevolent spirits. You can make peace water with spring water, bluing, peppermint leaves, lavender buds & Florida water.

Blue water baths and floor washes are also being prescribed to clients before doing any spiritual work by mixing laundry bluing, Ammonia for purification or Florida water for good fortune; and a tablespoon of alum for protection, or Epsom salt for cleansing, or sugar for success in a tub or pail of water.
