Black Walnut has several magical uses. Just as the shell of the walnut is very hard and protects it's softer center, the Walnut essence helps to strengthen and stabilize our energy field so that we are more able to hold our center and engage in the world with clarity, focus and intention.

Black walnut shells are also used in spells to fall out of love, cord cutting and ending relationships. Traditionally, Black Walnut Hulls are used to break curses, end harmful relationships, and protect against negative energies. Their tough exterior represents resilience, making them ideal for rituals focused on personal empowerment and overcoming obstacles.

Black Walnut Ink - Put in an old pot and cover them with white vinegar. Boil them for about an hour or so and let cool. Strain the ink.

In the American Hoodoo Tradition, walnut leaves and nuts are used to put jinxes on people. Walnuts are also used to "fall out of love".

Make a tea of black walnuts boiled in 3 quarts of water; boiling it till the water evaporates down to 1 quart. You bathe in this water, renouncing ties to the former love, and then throw the water out at a crossroads.
